Williams Pavilion Parking Garage Rehabilitation

The final phase of rehab is the application of a seal coating on the 5th level.  One-half of the 5th Level will be open for parking during the seal coating process.  All 4th level & below parking will be open during the seal coating phase.

At the May 2007 meeting, the Board of Regents approved the Parking Structure Repairs project as a part of the comprehensive Campus Master Plan of Capital Improvement Projects for the Oklahoma City Campus.  The primary work identified to be completed under this project was rehabilitation of the Williams Pavilion parking garage.  Design and construction documents for the necessary work to improve surface drainage, replace expansion joints, patch deteriorating concrete and apply waterproof deck coatings were prepared by Zahl-Ford, Inc., a University on‑call engineering consultant.
After an assessment by an engineering firm, areas of repairs were identified to ensure the garage remains structurally sound, as it is now. 

The rehabilitation of the Williams Pavilion parking garage will take place mainly on the 3rd, 4th and 5th levels as well as repairing the stairwells. 

Construction commenced on October 12 and should be substantially completed by May 2008.  The garage has been divided up in quarters and each quarter will be disturbed for approximately 40 days.  The contractors believe it will be quicker, although they have scheduled 40 days for each area.  Once the area is safe to open back up to the customers we will do so and move forward to the next area.  Some of the products are temperature sensitive, so the weather will determine how quickly they complete the project.
